Find The Thimble

One game which is most fun to play is "Find the Thimble"

This game requires 2 or more players, and a common household thimble.

One person is nominated "The Hider" and the rest are "Finders"

The Hider remains in the room while all the other participants leave and wait for the hider to call them to return.

While the Finders are out of the room, The Hider selects a hiding place for the thimble. The place selected should be easy to access, but be slightly obscured from sight, so as to encourage searching. They place the thimble in the selected hiding place, and return to the middle of the room.

They then call for the other players to return to the room and commence seraching for the thimble.

It can be quite comical to witness the fractic searching, and can add a further element of fun if The Hider indicated how close the searchers are by emiting various humming tones.

Whoever finds the thimble then becomes The Hider for the next game, and it starts again.

tips: Ideal hiding places would be in a drawer, in a shoe or under a napkin. Avoid hiding in urns and in relatives ashes.
